Nixie the Sea Witch

Nixie is a mixed media textile sculpture using air dry clay, beach finds, fabric, Spanish moss and synthetic coral & pearls for her crown and mounted on an oval wooden base. She stands approx 24 inches tall and is for indoor display only. Each of my Sea Witches have her own unique name and story and this is Nixie's:
Nixie
From German roots, meaning “water nymph.”
Far below the fading light lies a coral kingdom—beautiful, fragile, and fiercely guarded. The reef is lifeblood to all who dwell within it.
Nixie is its guardian.
A princess bound by ancient magic, she heals with a touch and keeps the reef in balance. Life flourishes under her care… but the sea does not give such power freely.
Those who come to harm the reef are claimed by the deep. Some whisper of shifting currents. Others of a shadow with watching eyes.
Beloved, yet quietly feared, Nixie is both blessing and warning—
and when she rises as queen, she will be a fierce defender of the reef.
